B.B. King's Blues SummitThis month's Pick Hit was an easy choice once Joe Bonamassa's massive tribute to B.B. King reached us. B.B. King's Blues Summit 100 on Bonamassa's KTBA label is a double-album collection with many, many special guests performing B.B. classics.

Once again, we're asking why an artist like Charles Tiner is self-releasing his album, Good Soul, when it should be major label material. The recipient of our Surprise pick is the best soulful blues singer we've heard in quite some time.

This month's Flashback goes back to an album, Blues Highway, from Piedmont-style bluesman Warner Williams. He was a man who should have been better known during his career.

Our What's New section features new albums from Tinsley Ellis, Omar Coleman & Igor Prado, Duke Robillard and his All Star Band, Murali Coryell, Billy Thompson, Davey Jones, Ed Alstrom, and more.
