Two CDs by young, contemporary guitarists share the Pick Hit honors this month, with new releases from Tutu Jones and Michael Hill's Blues Mob.

California swingabilly man Big Sandy gives us a real Surprise with his new doo wop/R&B disc.

One of the best unknown blues albums of all time gets a little overdue publicity now that it's out on CD, as we Flashback to the excellent album from The Fieldstones.

Acoustic artist Alvin Youngblood Hart comes out with a diverse sophomore effort, and New England crooner Sugar Ray sings his favorite songs. These and many more are featured in our  What's New section.
