One of my favorite blues cats, the acrobatic, guitar slinging Guitar Shorty, has this month's Surprise hit. This month we Flashback to the fantastic early 50s recordings by Chicago's Robert Nighthawk, appearing on CD for the first time. A new CD from contemporary blues star Joe Louis Walker, an acoustic set from the late Luther Allison, and a wonderfully eclectic reissue from Natchez's Hezekiah and the House Rockers highlight our What's New section.
